How long does a custom engagement ring take to make?

Most custom designs take 4-8 weeks from the initial consultation to the finished ring, depending on design complexity and stone sourcing.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome for browsing or repairs, but a consultation appointment is recommended for custom design work.

Should I choose a lab-grown or natural diamond?

Both are graded to the same GIA standards. Lab-grown diamonds cost 40-60% less for equivalent size and quality, while natural diamonds tend to hold value better on resale.

Can I use my own diamond or a family heirloom stone?

Yes, client-owned diamonds and heirloom stones can be reset into new custom designs.

What happens if something goes wrong with my ring after purchase?

Leander Jewelry stands behind its work; issues like a loosened prong or stone are repaired after purchase.

How do I find reputable jewelry buyers near me?

To find reputable jewelry buyers near you, research online reviews and testimonials, ask for recommendations from friends or family, and consider visiting established jewelry stores with a proven reputation. How can I sell my gold jewelry without getting ripped off?

How do you determine the value of estate jewelry?

Factors like age, brand, materials, gemstone quality, and condition determine estate jewelry value. A professional appraisal by an experienced jeweler ensures an accurate assessment of fair market value. Leander Jewelry provides in-house estate jewelry appraisals and buying services.

Is it better to sell your jewelry to a jeweler or pawn shop?

Selling jewelry to a jeweler is typically better than a pawn shop. Jewelers specialize in valuing and buying jewelry, offering fair prices based on actual market value and expert knowledge. Pawn shops may provide quicker cash but typically offer significantly lower prices.

Is it better to sell gold at a pawn shop or jewelry store?

For most people, a jewelry store that specializes in precious metals offers more detailed evaluations, transparent pricing, and experience with coins, bullion, and estate pieces, which typically means a higher offer for the same items. Pawn shops pay 40% to 60% of market value. A dedicated jewelry store typically pays 75% to 80%.
